As with all traditional
Welsh Male Voice Choirs, the Brighton Welsh comprises of four Sections, for a lighted hearted review of
each of these sections please select the appropriate group from the red
highlighted list above
-
-
The Top or First Tenors are those with the Highest voices,
(or tightest trousers).
They tend to be difficult to find (and hear), they are
also the most difficult to retain, as they require special treatment for their
voices, and simple melodies to keep them happy.

-
-
The Second Tenors have the most difficult job in the choir,
trying not to sing the Top Tenor part. They have all the funny little bits that
nobody else wants, I am told that this is a very apt’ description of this section of our
choir ! !
( Just joking lads !
)

-
-
Moving
quickly on we come to the Baritones who are numerous, this
is because many men on first joining the choir drift into this
section, and are so contented they never want to pursue a greater
choral challenge !

-
The Bass Section (also lovingly known as the bottoms) have
the deepest and most sonorous voices in the choir, and are therefore the most
sexy.
Well that is what they told me when I first joined them (And
who I am to argue ! )
We are always
looking for more bottoms, so if you are blessed with one come along and show us
! !

On a serious note
there is tremendous camaraderie amongst our Choir members and if you love singing
you already have a lot in common with us
